Part of the stream has been straightened, but a significant part still follows its original trajectory. The positive results of an experiment in the Snelle Loop led water authority Aa en Maas to perform additional experiments with dead wood in streams. Packages of dead wood were therefore introduced in the Tovensche Beek and macroinvertebrate presence will be monitored.
