This sometimes leads to the stream falling dry in periods with little rainfall. Biodiversity in the Kleine Beerze is rather low. Main channel mowing was used as a strategy to enhance diversity in flow velocity, macroinvertebrates and vegetation. In addition to this small-scale building with nature measure, efforts are made to recreate a meandering trajectory for the stream.
