			\|Project summary=Hofstadelva is a small side-river in a larger river system of Stjørdalselva. Due to risk of avalanche and erosion large sections of embarkments are established along both sides of Hofstadelva. Mitigation efforts included shaping of the embarkments to mimic the original stream structure, topsoil and turf transplants are used to improve natural vegetation recovery along the river.
			\|Monitoring surveys and results=A monitoring program for fish, benthos, plant life and birds during 2016 - 2018. Natural recovery is observed for all species groups. Grazing domestic animals cause some erosion that limit establishment of forest, and soil erosion into the river might be limiting for benthos.
			\|Lessons learn=Pre-project studies and cooperation have been important for the output. The involvemnt of experts in early phases of the projects have improved the positiv effects of mitigation. Mapping of species and ecosystem variables before the contruction is valuabel reference state for the monitoring after implementation.
